Hello
I have been using my Ninja PLUS Rev. A for some time now and im very happy with it. But my motherboard died recently and Im looking to replace it and s939 is hard to get hold of these days I have been looking at ASUS A8R-MVP ASUS A8R-MVP. But I cant find if if its compatible with my Ninja PLUS Rev. A In the Ninja PLUS Rev. B Compatibility List i can see that ASUS A8R32-MVP is not compatible but there is a little difference between A8R-MVP and A8R32-MVP. Here are 2 reviews of the motherboard with more images. AnandTech: Asus A8R-MVP: Mainstream Rocket X-bit labs - ASUS A8R-MVP Mainboard Review If anyone knows or can see if its compatible or not please help me out. Thanks in advance |

Hi,
the Ninja PLUS Rev. A has a different mounting mechanism. Do you still have the Socket 939-to-478 retention module? It is not compatible because of the capacitor's that are very close the the retention module. That's why you might need to pull them a but, but that's a bit risky to be hoenst. It also depends on how they were soldering the capacitors in the factory, sometimes the contact feet are longer and they already are bent to one side, someitmes not. That is the basic problem with the 939 and some AM2 Mobos. Greetings, Andy
