Hello,

got one question due to release of Mulgen. Is there any chance to buy seperatly indentical fan which is installed in Mulgen CPU cooler?
Because I have bought some time ago ******** CPU cooler, and now i can see that new Mulgen has much better fan - around30% more air flow and sounding slightly louder (1,5dB). And now i would like to install a second fan on the radiator and i would like it to be tht one which is in Mulgen

imo it would be nice by Scythe to improve after sale customer care. i think tht some ppl could buy a fan separatly, to instal double fan or exhange the older (******** one) to newer one(mugen fan). i dont know whatt u think about my thought. hope u reconsider it.

Hi posyho,

We are working on this. The fan clips are available on the market for a while, so you can add more fans if you like. Also the stock fans will be sold in various RPM versions this month, so stay tuned. We just announced the Ultra Kaze 120 fans with 38mm thickness, so the clips for that should also come up soon (working on it). Thanks for your suggestions, I appreciate it.

Greetings,
Andy

Hi all.

Shinigam, I've read a test about the new Mugon cooler and I'am a bit dissapointed. The Infinitiy is an excellent cooler, so is the Mugon, but the fan isn't anymore. OK, it has a better performance but is louder, and thats the reason for me not to buy the Mugon. I've also read that Scythe thinks about a new PWM fan for the Mugon. Is that right? And will we see it before christmas?

Cheers
Mond

Hi Mond,

there is always a compromise. The new fan is a bit more louder but then has more performance, Mugen is basically made for performance. We are thinking about using our 120mm PWM fan, but it won't be ready before Christmas. If we change something now, it will be on the market in 4 months, this is how the things go with production. So even everyone thinks that it is so easy and we can change something from today to tomorrow, I have to disappoint you, the reality is different

The standard fan that comes with the Mugen is also coming as a retail product this month. It is kind of misunderstood maybe, but the 1900RPM version is pretty impressive, it was running @5V with below 500RPM and it was even starting with 5V. There will be also a 500RPM Version for retail, I am working on the press release at this moment. Stay tuned.

Andy

Thanks you for keep us up to date

Do you "use" the layout/design from the Mugen fan for a separatly avaible product or did you mean a completely new fan series (Ultra Kaze).
-i´m confused-

Hi,

I wasn't able to announce the new fans to the market yet. I re-scheduled it to Friday, which means the new fans will be available around Friday or the following Monday.

The Mugen fan comes also along with NInja PLUS and Andy Samurai Master, and this fan is from the same series that will be announce, but the series has various models with different RPM - the 1900RPM has a special PCB and IC which makes him even better.
