I Am attaching the pics of my current cooling. By the way how to install 2nd fan? I have already 1 infront of the radiator. Should it be placed in the back? Where to connect it in terms of socket? I have no more fan sockets left on the motherboard. Are you in Hamburg? Can I drop in to take 1 fan? What are actually water cooling for VGA cards? I have not seen any of those.... Actually I also do not know much about water cooling for CPU either... ![]() ![]() |

Hi,
Thanks for reply. Yep I live in Germany but not a native so for me english is still better solution. When I take off a side of the housing I get 6 - 7 °C reduction. Probably I will go to dealer to take 1 additinal fan for Mugen. I have 3 smaller fans in front (92cm) and 1 bigger fan in the back together with 2 fans of PSU. Really I want to avoif water as longer as possible since a) I never used that, b) I do not want to bring some water into my system( leakage etc.) So hopefully I will get away with couple additinal fans. WHat do you think? ![]() |

Hello antonka,
actually I was working with liquid cooling successfully for quite a long time and I never had any leakages. I still don't understand your problem. Your QX9650 is of course a hot CPU, but I don't see, that your temperatures are way to high. You will never use your CPU with 100% load just because there are hardly any programs, which are able to use 4 Cores with 100% - except if you would be working in scientific research or something like that. I think it is normal, that your system has higher temperatures than a mainstream-system, so don't be afraid. This is exactly what I told you in several PNs and Emails. Cheers, Stefan

Hi Stefan, Thanks for clarifications. But would you say an additinal Scythe Fan on the heatsink would help? Where can I get it? Is there a spliter to connect 2 fans to single socket on the mainboard??
Danke im Voraus! |

Hello antonka,
I still don't get it: Why do you want to improve something, which is alright? Cheers, Stefan

Hello antonka,
it should reduce the temperatures, but i think you should somehow toy with the idea to rethink your complete configuration. The way you are cooling your system does not seem to be alright. Just make sure, that you have a constant airflow in your system and measure the temperatures on different places e.g. using our Kama Thermo wireless. I think, air is accumulating somewhere in your case with the result, so you get higher temperatures than you would expect. How to solve this, is something you have to do by yourself. Just have a look at the attached image, maybe this could help a bit. Cheers, Stefan
