Default Mugen on DFI LANparty UT n680i LT SLI-T2R

Hi,
i wonder if the mugen fits on my
DFI LANparty UT n680i LT SLI-T2R

because the northbridge cooler is a lot bigger as the northbridge coolers on other boards!
I'm looking forward to a positive answer (beause i would die to have one)!

With best regards

Hi,

I actually see this Mobo for the first time, the heatsink looks like Thermalright on it. Furthermore there are no images that I could find about that motherboard. So that means I can not really check how tall this heatsink is. That means the chance of compatibility is automatically decreasing. Mugen should be fine with it, if you mount it with fan facing Northbridge is my guess.

Excuse my question, but which image shows Mugen? I can not see any cooler on the images. ^^

Mugen won't fit in the "normal" installation direction (it's just to wide and will collide with this huge chipset cooler). You would have to rotate it by 90 degrees - but it still couldn't fit. And if you rotate it: where to put the fan? Then you could only realize a sucking fan installation with the fan directly underneath your PSU. Seems all quite critical to me.

Bye Oliver

Hi,

yeah, I assume that Mugen only fits, with same mounting direction as the chipset heatsink.
