Default New name?

This new name "Mugen" sounds bad in English. Perhaps the name has some meaning in German, that makes it appropriate, but in English it's a loser. Try again.....

tacc....there is a language problem here. "Mugen" does not mean "loser" in english. It's a just a saying.....calling something a loser in english, just means it is or will be a failure.

Hi,

To keep it on a understandable level, I'll explain the situation.
"Mugen" is neither German, English or Russian. It is Japanese and means "********" as tacc mentioned.
Why?

We have changed the fan and there is a new box comes along with the name. It is more like "back to the root" kind of thing, we considered it as necessary and you cna still call it ********.

Greetings,
Andy

Well I guess the Japanese never learn. They had a good-selling car in the USA named Datsun, with many loyal owners. To "get back to the root" they changed the name to Nissan. They lost many customers, and went from being the #1 Japanese car in the USA, to #3 or #4. All because of a name change.

Hi,

Well I don't think it is becasue of a name...seriously a name is not a product. The product is improved and the name should not be a problem. There are also times where you have to change the name because of a couple reasons. We still hope for your guys understanding and support

Greetings,
Andy

Hello everybody,
I registered at this forum to find some answers regarding the Scythe "Mugen" CPU Cooler, former Scythe ********.
The first question of all was the compatibility with my mainboard, the ASUS P5B (non deluxe), Rev. 1.03G. It's not 100%ly certain whether it's compatible or not, but the possibility is quite high, as I heard from some people

Now another question arose: I searched for the availability of the ******** Cooler in the "K&M Elektronik"-online-shop, and for some reason it cannot be ordered at the "shipment-centre" anymore, what could be done just some days ago.
Now I read on other forums and now in this thread that there's going to be a new revision of the cooler former called ********. Is this true? If that's so, when will it be released, and which changes does it include?

Further information about that are highly appreciated, and thanks in advance!

Hi Laistrygon,

Welcome to our forum and glad to receive your message.

The availability is a bit difficult right now, but we'll get a new shipment soon. You can still buy the ******** from Comtech and Cyberport so don't bother to buy from them

The ASUS P5B is very sticky, I can not really help you here. The new versions seem to be OK and have small capacitor's but the Unviersal Retention Kit solve the problem. Unfortunately I don't have the non-compatible version or compatible version here. But no one reportet any problems about this motherboard for over one year, sounds like it is solved.

Changes will be announced soon. Please keep calm, we'll inform you soon

Greetings,
Andy
