Mugen compatible with Gigabyte P35C-DS3R and Cooler Master Cavalier 3?

Hey guys,

I've been looking for information but didn't find any so I hope you can help me. I want to buy a new computer, w/ a Gigabyte P35C-DS3R as Motherboard in a Cooler Master Cavalier 3 case.

In the motherboard compatibility list the P35C-DS3R isn't enlisted. Has anyone tried to fit the Mugen on that board? I read in the list that there were problems with fitting the RAM in on the P35-DS3R.

Secondly, I wonder whether the Mugen will fit in the Cooler Master Cavalier Case. Measurements: 500 x 202 x 435 (D x W x H). There won't be a fan installed on the left side. Anyone tried this case w/ a Mugen?

Hope someone can help me.

Hello Derric,

The Board-Layout is fine and should be compatible with Mugen CPU Cooler. As for the PC Case, we generally don't give any advise, because this is a bit difficult and complicated as a combination - especially because we do not stock any PC cases. Sorry.

Mugen should be still OK with that case is my suggestion.

Thanks Shinigami. I hope the Mugen will fit, after all, there are 4 cm of space left within the case. Will be close but should fit. Most importantly the Mugen fits on my board so now I can concentrate on building the system without having to worry whether the cooler will fit =). Thanks again.

Hi,

I hope the capacitor's are fine, because sometimes they are bit taller, what I can not influence. The rest should be fine with this motherboard. I received only positive featback for similar layouts so far.

Please let me know if there are any issues with the mentioned combination after you built it.

Good news regarding the Gigabyte P35C-DS3R: The Mugen does fit. But: You can't install the fan in a way so that it blows toward the case fan because it would block one of the RAM Slots. So now it's blowing towards the PSU. Ah, and the Mugen does fit into the CoolerMaster Cavalier 3.

Hi,

thanks for confirming. The fan should fit anyway as long as your memory is not too tall. I will add the mobo to the list as compatible.
