Flip Mount Super Back-Plate thoughts ??

Compared to the other backing type plates around for mounting the HSF unit what are your impressions of the backing plated supplied with the Mugen 2 which is called "Flip Mount Super Back-Plate".

Does it help prevent motherboard bowing which I have heard can happen with the heavier models of HSF setups??

If there are issues will a xigmatek "crossbow" type fitting work/fit the Mugen 2?????

Hello Observer,

welcome to our forum.

Such a backplate helps more than only prevent motherboard bending. It also helps to fix especially heavy coolers best on every socket and motherboard.
And we have one backplate for all sockets.

The Xigmatek Crossbow only works with Xigmatek coolers.
