Default Proper installation on 1156

I just bought a new mainboard with the 1156 socket. I own a Mugen 2 Rev. A, and therefore I've also bought an 1156 retention kit. First of all I found the manual to be unclear. The English on the package could as well be Chinese. After a while I found out how to install it. From then on the installation was straightforward. (Except for one problem, which I will explain later.)

Only when I had my new Windows 7 installation up and running I found out that my temperatures are way too high for this efficient cooler. It idles at 35° which is just fine, but on load (Prime95) it reaches a temperature of 82° and that is way too high.

During installation I experienced the following problem: after I had put my OCZ Freeze thermal compound on the cpu and alligned the cooler on the motherboard I tried to insert the four screws from the backside on the mainboard. The first three were easy to insert, but the fourth only gets in half. I tried to force it in, but then the mainboard started to squeek, so I stopped trying.

Could you help me with this problem?

Many thanks,

Citomaster

My rig:

Gigabyte H55M-UD2H
CPU: i7 860
and a big (and for the moment open) Silverstone KL-03 case.

If anyone wants to know the solution:

Apparently one of the wide screws had a little defect, the screw couldn't go get in there entirely. So this is what I did: I took the cooler apart and forced the screw in with some tools. After that I was able to insert the screw completely and now my temps are way better. (54 on IntelBurntest...)
