Problem - Mugen 2 rev B, lga 1366 - wrong screws given

From the instructions, screws #6 do NOT fit into the metal assembly clipthat goes on the bottom of the heatsink. There is no way those screws are going to fit.

I tried with other screws i had that did fit, but the heads were rounded. If you check the assembly clip, they need to screw in to the bottom of heatsink, but the edges of the holes are bevelled so that a smaller flat head screw should be within the bevelled area. This would make it flush so when the heatsink is on the CPU, there will not be a gap. With a screw with a rounded head, the screw ends up hitting the cpu clips before the heatsink can make contact...

Can anyone let me know the size of the screws (ie. what they should be)? Checked with home depot, they have nothing small enough to fit that gap.

It is obvious that the screws are simply missing in your package which is just an error in the packaging of the screw set. This is very very rare but it happens.

Please write a support request to the Scythe office closest to your location (Europe, USA etc.) and ask them to send you the missing screws.
