Mugen 2 rev.2 user here. Bought it 2 days ago, installed it yesterday. Idle temps are around 45C, load temps around 72C. I used the thermal paste supplied with the mugen 2 and took great care to create a thin layer on the CPU. Should I buy a better quality thermal paste? Why are my temps so high?
![]() Also, is there any significant difference in cooling when placing the 120mm fan to another side? Right now I have the fan set up as instructed in the manual, but my Corsair DDR3 ram is blocked by the cooler, forcing me to use dual channel instead of triple channel ram ![]() CPU: i7 930 (3,8GHz) MB: Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R RAM: 3x2GB DDR3 1600MHz 8-8-8-24 Corsair PSU: Corsair VX450W CASE: NZXT Hush Last edited by LfmC; 07-05-2010 at 11:46 PM. |

Try this: Coollaboratory*Liquid Ultra - top performance for High-End systems!
I just installed Yasya and this liquid metal paste was recommended... Ambient 29C...idle 43C...load 48C.....on X2 6000+ (before=idle 52, Load 60C) |
