Installed mugen 2 wrong way on lga775, is it bad?

After changing new thermal paste I noticed that position of mugen 2 (rev a) was changed 90 degrees cw (or ccw) compared to earlier installation.

Cooler's heatpipes point left and mounting brackets right compared to this picture


I'm using Asus P5Q pro and q6600. Temps are a little lower compared to earlier installation (at 3,5ghz idle 43-43-40-43)

Could mounting brackets damage those round components seen in pic? Can the backplate damage solderings etc. on the back of mb? Or is it even possible to install backplate wrongways?

If the clip doesn't directly hit/push mainboard components you are perfectly safe - Mugen 2 can be installed/rotated in any direction if the board allows it.
