Default Problem with CPU Cooler Stabilizer 775 on Scythe Mugen

Hi all! I have a sort of problem with my Scythe mugen (********) and the CPU Cooler Stabilizer 775.
I got an Asus p5n-t deluxe motherboard and my processor is an Intel dual core E6850.
The cooler didn't fit so i bought the CPU Cooler Stabilizer 775.
Now it does fit but the problem is that there is a lot of space between the screws and the motherboard.
I am afraid if when tighten the screws more i will damage my motherboard.
I cant move the cooler and it feels like its very tightened to the board.
I tested my pc and the temps are quite low but there is quite a lot of difference between the temperature from core 1 and 2.
Here are some photo's:

Doesnt seem to be very straight up...

I really hope someone can help me! Thanks a lot!

Please post your temps and resize your pics! Upload them at abload.de and post only the thumbnails/links to the full siez images. Thanks.

Differences between the cores must not necessarily be caused by uneven pressure but by uneven heatspreader. We can only comment on detail if you post your exact temps under full load and in idle (load test with LinX and temps read out with CoreTemp or RealTemp).

As you already said - do not overtighten the screws, this distance is ok.
