good for Asrock x58 extreme?

Hi - looks like getting compatible mobo, cpu cooler and memory is a minefield due to on board placements and size of the compontents!
So I have started with the mobo - Asrock X58 extreme.
1. is a Mugen 2 a straightforward fit? ie no bending or cutting?
2. Ok - cooler on - now what memory will fit? (eg somewhere I read that Patriot Viper memory is too tall)
Advice would be appreciated. TKIA.
