Default Gigabyte GA-MA785GMT-UD2H + mugen 2 + corsair DHX/dominator

I am planning on building a new system and i was wondering if i am going to get in trouble with above configuration. For now i plan to use 2 sticks of corsair DHX / dominator but i would like to be able to go to 4 in the future.

If i got this right in the beginning i will have no problem as i can place the mudules in the outer slots with the fan on the same side (right?). However i am wondering how it will be with 4 modules.

Will i be able to use 4 modules with either the fan mounted above the modules so it will stick out higher or do i need to place the fan on the other side of the mugen? If possible i am planning on putting 2 fans on both sides of the mugen 2.

My case is the antec p180.

"Your board supports dual memory. Is it not possible to increase size of memory cards and keep them in outer slots?? With fans, it is important to try direct the heat from the heatsink towards the case exhaust fans. Sometimes multiple fans will only decrease temps by 1-2 deg but noise also increases. Sorry if this doesnt help as I have just joined the forum and dont wish to step on toes.
cheers"

Well one of the reasons i would like a dual fan setup is because of its performance and low noice.. even more with 2 fans. silentpcreview did a review on the mugen 2 with very nice results.. u might wanna check what the mugen did with 2 fans : Scythe Mugen-2 CPU Cooler | silentpcreview.com . (page 6)

Increasing the size of the memory sticks is possible but way to expenisve in my eyes. Anyways the problem is solved as i am going for crucial now so i dont have the worry about the tall heatsinks and 4 regular dimms should be able to fit.

Hi klomp, I`m using the same scythe fans, You have to remember that all reviews on Mugen 2 are made by humans "******** Number Two": Scythe Mugen 2 Cooler Review (page 8) - X-bit labs
This one shows little difference in using multiple fans and increase in noise. Most of the other reviews show small increases in temp drop. I would be be happy to see a 6 deg drop as suggested in your link. I am using a coolermaster haf 932 (3 slots of OCZ 1600 Cards) which is no slouch in moving air through a case. Hope you get it right,
cheers
