What do I wrong?

Hello,

Today I received new parts for my pc, including a Gigabyte EX58 UD5 motherboard, i7 920 cpu and the Mugen 2 cpu cooler.

I'm having some trouble installing the cooler:

First I attached the 1366 assembly clips to the cooler, easy. Then I took of the mainboards backplate by releasing the cpu covers' screws, to mount the Scythe backplate.

Now, when I reattached the cpu cover I can't pull the pin down anymore to make it stuck..

Hi,

so you mean you cannot close the cpu socket? are you put in the cpu right? sometimes it need a little bit more power to close this socket, but all is ok with this.
