Default i7 920 temps with Mugen 2

Just wondering if Idle 48c Load 80c is the average for a 4.2Mhz OC on a i7 920? Would higher RPM fan help? Have 2 1300 RPM fans doing push/pull going up. Think if I reseat the heatsink again would I get better temps? Using IC 7 Carat thermal paste. HAF 932 case. CpuV at 1.275 but I'm not too sure it's gonna pass a prolong Prime95 at that voltage.

If you do suggest higher RPM fan, which one would you suggest? The S-Flex or Slipstream?

I have 41 Idle and 84 using LinX (that's usually about 10 degrees higher than prime) @ 4.2GHz and 1.3 CpuV

I'm using P6T Deluxe V2 mb
D0 Core i7 920 HT enabled.
1 Standard FAN on Mugen and MX2 thermal paste
In Antec Twelve Hundred Case

If you provide prime95 settings I can test temperatures on my PC

Hi,

80°C are ok for such a setup. Higher RPM should help little bit. You can also try our Slip Stream 1600 or 1900. Controlled via fan controller you will get a devils machine ;P
