Default mugen 2 & gigabyte X58-UD4P & panzer box >>> NO GO!

hi there.
i just bought my a new case (panzer box by nzxt), new cpu (icore 920), gigabyte mainboard X58-UD4P and the mugen 2 cpu cooler and 12gig g.skill trident ram.

and now i realized two problems: after assembly of the fan to board, i cant install all 6 rams, so i cant use 12 gig of ram - grrrr. but i will survive this.

but the second problem is awesome for me:

the nzxt panzer box has an mainboard-sled. after assembling board with mugen2 on this sled, it wont fit into the panzer box. the mugen is too big and collide during insertion with the frame which holds the power-supply (which is located in the panzer box on the rear bottom next to the board.

does this mean i have to get rid off my mugen2 and have to llok for a smaller cpu-cooling system and which one you would recommend? (it has to be at least 25% smaller including the fan.)

i really hope there is a chance to find a work around.

greets, me.

well, i'd recommend to get a better case
a lot of current cases have at least a cut out in the mainboard tray, so one can assemble a heatsink with backplane.
you also could abandon the feature of the removable mainboard tray by installing the heatsink first and then the board into the case itself.

however if you want to stay with the case and the feature a tower cooler seems to be no option. so i'd suggest you take a look at the zipang 2.
