space problem with voltage converter

I have the mainboard Gigabyte 965p-DS3 in revision 3.3
Near the mounting hole in the north east there is a voltage converter which blocks the upper pin from the mounting clip of my Mine Cooler.

I have seen pictures from the revision 1.0 of the board and I don't think this problem occures there, because it seems that these converters doeas not exist there - Although I'm not sure about this.

I was told that I should post my problem here to get help, so is there something I can do ?

in this case you also must have Probs with den PWM in south-east area.
Can you take some closer Pics from your prob in the mounting Area.

Hello belbono.

Thank you very much for taking your time to register. I assume that you were send here from HPM-Computer.de. The mentioned problem is something that should not disturb the mounting of Mine CPU Cooler.

Please try to turn the Mine CPU Cooler by 90°. We had a couple users reporting that there are no cpmpatibility problems and everythign fits.
Maybe you could take a picture if the Mine CPU Cooler can not be mounted at all.

I corrected the first picture ... it was from a another board model.

As you see now in the south east area there no such converter

Hi,

I think I understand what you mean. You can not mount the clip because the unit is in the way...is that correct? If so, you could turn the Mine by 90° and try if it works the other way. If not you could use the tretention Kit to avoid this problem. Here are some illustrations for you.

Die Klemme sollte bei dem Kühler dabei sein, die sieht aber etwas anders aus...Der Sinn der Retention-Kits ist es, dass man den Sockel 775 in Sockeö 478 umwandelt, dadurch hat man aber eine Backplate und eine Metallbefestigung.

Notfalls kriegen Sie die 478er Klemme bei uns.

I got my problem under control:

For the Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3 (revision 3.3) with the Syche Mine (rev B) you will need the retention kit (SCURK01).

You can even mount an alternate northbridge cooler like the Coolermaster Blue Ice II.
In this case it will be very narrow, but I can assure it will be ok.

To be sure I would like to know if it works with the standard mounting clips from Mine or does it have to be a SCURK01??
