Default Kabuto Compatibility List

Due to a big demand for this list we are trying to keep this updated and accurate as possible. Please feel free to post images of possible and compatible motherboards.

The current list, which we try to keep up to date, can be also found in the Support corner of our website.

Color code:
  • Compatible
  • Not Compatible
  • Unkown
Kabuto CPU Cooler

ASUS P5W DH Deluxe
ASUS P5E64 WS Evolution
ASUS P5E3 WS Professional

ASUS P6T SE
ASUS Rampage Formula
Biostar TA790GXB
GA MA790FXT-UD5P

Last Update: 27.04.2009 by hiroshige

Every support is appreciated and would help other users as well so please feel free to supply any useful compatibility tips, pictures.

Disclaimer:
Please note that this compatibility may not apply to all the motherboards as the manufacturer randomly tend to change the components (capacitors, condensers, etc) used for their motherboard without informing to the public. Hence, the height of the capacitors and condensers maybe higher depending on the production lot of the motherboard.

It fits just fine on Biostar TA790GXB A2+ boards. I only tried one mounting config (the only one that made sense) which was to have the heatpipes to the "west" (vreg side). I did have a small problem with being unable to mount it... I had to lower the mounting arms so I could latch into the AM2 retaining bracket.

ok, thank you very much! Tomorrow I will install it in an Enermax Chakra mid tower with 25 fan (I think that I will have to uninstall it, the case is 20 cm wide but, i really need this cpu cooler, i7 920 is not a E6600!!! )

hehe, your case is 20cm wide? so you got 18cm to the kabuto > you have to unistall the big side fan.
