Disclaimer: Please note that this compatibility may not apply to all the motherboards as the manufacturer randomly tend to change the components (capacitors, condensers, etc) used for their motherboard without informing to the public. Hence, the height of the capacitors and condensers maybe higher depending on the production lot of the motherboard.

MOTHERBOARD COMPATIBILITY:
MSI K9N Neo-F mobo, and Mine rev. B -- installed the cooler on this board in a standard ATX case without any problems. Very straightforward (using the AM2 clip set), with no mobo components in any danger of contact. The only caveat is that the clip facing the PSU is awkward to clamp down with the PSU in place, especially if you've got big hands. Would definitely be easier with the PSU removed, but then you would need to be sure the cooler won't interfere with getting the PSU back in place! |

Hi bill'o,
The compatibility should be OK. Mine is rather easy to mount even with such a crowded heatsink on the Mainboard. I would say 90% compatibility chance. Cheers, Andy

Hello,
Does Scythe Mine rev. B will fit in to Gigabyte EX38-DS5 motherboard ? GIGABYTE GA-EX38-DS5 It has very big radiators (they looks like those in DQ6 version). I'm specially woried about capacitors near the cpu socket because they are aprox. 2mm higher than top of the socket. I'm afraid that Mine's "bottom" radiator (that mounted to the base) might touch capacitors and chokes. And how about Ninja rev. B ? ![]() |

Hi bricabrac!
Mine should be on the safe side with this Mobo but the capacitors are a bit of an issue I can not really help you with. In one direction you will see the Base plate to stick out more than the other side, which means you need to turn it so it is facing the side, where the capacitors are farther away (I/O Port side). Not sure the status, but the latest production should have this baseplate in a different direction, which would increase the compatibility chances. I will check our stock and the one in USA for that and report you. Ninja PLUS should be fine right away.

Thank you for reply Shinigami. So I will wait then
![]() But in this thread: Compatibility Scythe Mine with Gigabyte GA EX38-DS5 hiroshige claims that Mine should fit perfectly. He also belongs to Scythe Support Staff so maybe he's right ?This picture shows thing which I thought is radiator but maybe it's not But it looks like some kind of radiator. All in all, that thing should be shorter or even completly modified to looks similar to Zipang.![]() |
