It squashes some capacitators.

Even if it's an "older" Model, i think there are some people out there who are still using it like me. So i want to add the:

ASRock AOD790GX/128MB

It's compatible but it's a bit tricky to mount the cooler because of the Northbridge-Cooler.

You need move the lever into the position of fastening BEFORE you mount the Mine Cooler and then it should work.

Is The Scythe Mine 2 compatible with the P8-Series of Asus?, especially the P8P67 board - the board has heat spreaders around the cpu which appear to be quite high.
