It might be a moot point at this point since I have already ordered it and it has been shipped but will it fit on an ASUS P6T Deluxe?

If no one knows I'll find out in a few days when I try.

Using the SCINF-1000 ******** as reference, I have concluded that the Mugen 2 should fit just fine on the Abit IP35 (including IP35-E). I'm actually going to buy one next round of upgrades--which is soon. Mugen 2, E5200, and a HD4830.

EDIT: What the heck is up with filtering the Inf inity? Some markets it's still known as that.

Hello Bobsama,

the correct name of the SCINF-1000 is Mugen. Reason for that was that a company spreaded lots of juristic written warnings to other companies using the name Inf...

@lithodora: There shouldn't be any issues when using Mugen 2 with ASUS P6T.
@mario6: There are some condensators round the CPU socket which could be a problem but shouldn't.
@Voodoo: Thanks for the pictures!
@Miro: Könnte knapp werden, da hilft nur ausprobieren.
@tear: Could be close, you have to try it by yourself.

Cheers,

As per US law at least, you are not allowed to trademark a generic term. That being said, I've not seen any knock-offs called anything to do with Inf!n!ty in the CPU cooler market. But I suppose there is legal reason to change the name, though it could throw off customers looking for a "Scythe Inf!n!ty", especially if they take a look at these forums for reference and find that the word never appears.

I have an Asus P6T motherboard, with an Intel iCore7 920 CPU. Is the Mugen 2 cooler compatible with that board?

Hi,

the Mugen 2 is compatible with the ASUS Rampage Formula (that's what the picture voodoo uploaded showed). So is a Mugen 2 compatible with an ASUS P5E Deluxe as well? I was not quite sure. Both motherboards appear to be designed the same way. But are they really, so that a Mugen 2 fits into an ASUS P5E Deluxe?

Thanks for your help
