I don´t think so. Asus Rampage 3 Extreme has a chip on backside - http://www.awardfabrik.de/images/sto.../review/15.jpg

This Chip should blocking our Mugen 2 Backplate.

So it fits with the usual comments on fan and RAM. On the pic Mugen 2 is mounted with the long side parallel to the PCI slots. The most likely setup is parallel to the ATX I/O panel. With this mounting you will gain some space but the fan will hang above at least one RAM slot anyway when mounted on RAM side of Mugen.

Please use the compatibility threads for questions like this. I'll ask the admin to move your post.

Google shows some people using this combination so it should fit. Always remember the generic info on fan and RAM issues (sticky thread). This is true for almost any mainboard.

Fans on big coolers like Mugen 2 will virtually ever cover at least one RAM slot when mounted on RAM side. But i commented on that in the thread i referred to.

Also production details of boards can be changed so that parts on the backside could interfere with Mugen's backplate. But this is only true in very rare cases.
