Hey fellas,
just built the Mugen 2 on an ASRock A790GXH/128M AM2+ Board. No Problems occured so far, except if you want to use it with rams that got a tall passive cooler you have to mount the Mugen Fan on one of the other sides. If you do so any ram can be used. I'll send in a picture later... Have to test now. ![]() |

Hi Scythe Support Team,

Hallo,
Kann mir jemand sagen ob der Mugen 2 auf ein Asrock 4Core1600Twins-P35D passt. ASRock > Products > 4Core1600Twins-P35D Der Speicher hat normale Höhe. |

Will the Mugen-2 Rev.B fit on my ASUS p7P55D Pro motherboard. I am using 2x2GB Corsair XMS memory with 58mm tall heat sinks. You can see in the attached photo the closest edge of the closest memory heat sink is 65mm from the center of the stock Intel i5-750 cooling fan.
The eVGA 8800GTS graphics card is in PCIEx16 slot 1 and the closest edge of that card is 73mm from the center of the stock cooling fan. Will the Rev.B fit? I have seen several different answers on this board. |

Would be not compatible GA-P55A series with Mugen 2 (and Mugen 2 Rev. B)?
Achtung: Mugen 2 Rev. B passt nicht auf Gigabyte P55A-UD4 (Retention-Kit notwendig!) - Mindfactory AG Community Forum I am sorry for my bad english. |

I've got Mugen 2 Rev.A and the "Mounting Clip for LGA1156" (SCCSMG2-1156) and that is why, I presume, I won't have problems with the installation of the cooler on GA-P55A-UD4 (as I didn't have them with GA-P55-UD4). But, though the distance between the CPU-socket and the DIMM-sockets on the first board looks a bit greater than on the second, the fan clips are still hampered by the memory modules, notwithstanding those are the low ones (Hynix)
Is there any idea how to cope with the problem without just mounting the fan on the opposite side of the cooler, as this last method seem to very noticeably low the Mugen 2 cooling effectiveness ? What makes me especially and is that with GA-P55/P55A-UD3 you don't have any of these problems, - but I cannot stay satisfied with them as I am going to have either SLI or CrossFire system ... |

Installed the Mugen 2 CPU Cooler on my ASUS Maximus 2 Formula mother board.
Not a problem at all CPU is Q9400. dropped my temps on all cores by 15 to 20c degrees.. With only 1 fan on it.. No load sits on 35c with load at 90% sits on 50c... Very Happy with it.. ![]() |
