I am planning on bying te Asus P6X58D Premium (same motherboard layout as Asus P6T)
After reading lots of articles the Schythe Mugen 2 (rev.b) i am unsure if this CPU cooler will fit on this board. Also i've read DIMM slots wil be covered partially. I am wondering if it is possible to use this CPU cooler and also install OCZ Platinum Dimm's in All 6 Dimm slots.

Hello together.
@AiAiAi: The so called gaps have a different purpose than placing fans into them. They are used to reduce turbulences or air resistance. That is th main purpose as far as I know. @FL00D: Sorry that you didn't get an nswer and thanks a lot for the confirmation. I will have that incldued into the list! =D @ReMi: The mobo seems ok and there should be no conflict with the components around the socket. The memory should be also fine, though the fan would cover it, or you'd need to place the fan different. Nevertheless OCZ Platinum ram seems to be not tall and should be fine with mentioned combination. @ThomasF: GA-P35-DS3R has a very simple layout, there should be no problem with both coolers. please note though that tall memory could have some issues, which is caused by the first DIMM close to the socket. Normal or a bit taller memory would be fine though Cheers and Marry Christmas!

Sorry for my bad english
and what about p7p55 evo compatibility? I have revently bought this mobo and scythe mugen II rev.b yesterday i tried to mount it to see if it fits and I don't know what to think about it... It only fits vertically with fan mounted on the right side(near ram) itd very close to the graphic card an it's blocking some ram slots- i have got ripjaws series 2*2 gb and ram almost touches the scythe fan is it safe to mount it so close to the graphic card(radeon 5859 sapphire)? Or should I sell scythe and buy something else? I'm looking forward to your reply Last edited by stupidisco111; 12-27-2009 at 08:43 PM. |

Hello!
How Mugen 2 is fitting on Asus P6T with Kingston HyperX 3x2GB 1333MHz CL7? Is there any problems with the size of Mugen 2 or Kingston? Will it blocks one of my memories and is HyperX small enough to fit under Mugen 2? |

Hello dear Scythe-Team !
First of all sorry for any mistakes with my english language. Soon I will buy the Scythe Mugen 2 rev. B, but i want to be sure, that it is compatible with my Mainboard named Asus P5Q SE PLUS (here is the link from the homepage: ASUSTeK Computer Inc.) and mounted with 4 x Kingston HyperX 1gb 1066 mhz dimms(here is the datasheet from the officail homepage: http://www.valueram.com/datasheets/KHX8500D2_1G.pdf) . Well, the Mugen 2 should not interfere the 4 dimms and other things on the mainboard, hopefully . Alright, i am looking forward to your answer and i hope that everything will fit. Thanks a lot in advance! |

Hello!
Can anyone tell me whether the Mugen 2 will fit on an AM3 Gigabyte GA-770TA-UD3 without blocking the RAM-Slots? The Mugen 2 would be my first choice for replacing that noisy boxed cooler but I'm afraid that the Mugen 2 might not fit into my system, especially as I'm using G.Skill RipJaws RAMs which are slightly higher than other RAMs. Can anyone tell me how high RAMs can be to fit under the Mugen in case it's covering the RAM slots? Thanks a lot for your help! |

If I install the fan at the side of memory. Can I install short memory modules as OCZ DDR3 PC3-12800 Gold Edition. Not the Corsair Dominator 2x2048 MB DDR3 PC-12800 - 1.8v - C9 that are tall modules . I need to use all four memory slots and I prefer to install the fan on the side of the memory modules. Can I install Mugen 2, with the fan on the side of the memory modules with Crosshair III and four with low memory modules OCZ DDR3 PC3-12800 Gold Edition. My case is a Lian Li PC-X1000. Will it be possible, but the settings but with the fan next to the memories? Thanks |
