Just noticed that it is compatible with the Gigabyte GA-MA790GP-DS4H. As that is almost identical in terms of size and layout, I think it should fit just fine . Thanks anyway!

I've just bought the Asus P7P55D Deluxe. Is it compatible with the Mugen 2?

Asus P5QD Turbo: compatible!

The RAM slot closest to the CPU socket is blocked for high RAM modules and second closest is also a problem.

Fan cannot be mounted in the lowest possible position as the one of the fan clips collides with the chipset cooler. This is a minor problem as I'm talking about 2-4 mm.

Hello,

I have a Mugen2 cooler and I'm about to purchase a MSI 790FX-GD70 mobo. What does concerne me is the MOSFET heat sink. That seems to be a wee bit too high. I would be greatly obliged if someone could confirm whether the Mugen 2 is compatible with the GD70. One more question please, for any AM3 mobo I've got to use the very same screws, right? Could you please recommend a bit easier way to mount the HSF on the CPU socket cos' placing the mobo onto the HSF upside down is a bit complicated and tightening the screws that way is quite difficult. Not to mention the fact that after placing the mobo onto the bottom of the HSF it can slip easily cos' of the thermal compound and that makes the entire procedure even more difficult. :S

All your answers are greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Hi Evil_Genius,

fan is normal installed as the direction of memory. But it has been possible the fan mounted on each side. Related to the power supply it is a pure matter design of the case. In some cases, the power supply is installed on top of another, it is fitted below.

Best Regards,
OKi

Question Q..Fan location Mugen 2 and Scythe designing.

Hi
I have a question and thoughts about these posts about location of the fan. Not only the Mugen but Scythe fan system.
Is it not the intention to locate the airflow along with the "gaps" of fins?
Or have I missunderstood the purpose of these?
[M.A.P.S. (Multiple Airflow Pass-Through Structure), for high performance.]

Having got no answer I risked and purchased the G70 mobo. Now, for everyone who's planning to buy one: the Mugen 2 is compatible with it, though even with my memory modules (2xKingston HyperX 1600MHz) installed in the outer memory slots I've got minor clearence problems.

Cheers,
