Default Scythe Mugen 2 on ASUS Striker II Extreme

Hi,

I plan to install a Mugen 2 on my ASUS Striker II Extreme, but I'm not sure if it blocks some RAM slots or if it collides with the chipset coolers.
Has anybody already tested if the Mugen 2 works with the Striker II Extreme?

Thanks in advance!

@ freaK: the Biostar board is no problem, only firs Mem slot is blocked by Mugen 2 fan.

@mawo: maybe the first slot will be blocked by the mugen 2 fan for high memory

Hello,

Before I decide on the Mugen 2, will it fit on a Gigabyte P35-DS3P in a Antec P182, given that in the Mugen compatibility thread its listed as a yes?

If it does, will it block any RAM equiped with tall heatspreaders (OCZ's Reaper, Corsair's Dominator, etc)?

Thanks =)

Hi,

Board and Case looks fine with Mugen 2... But the cooler will block the first Mem Slot for Dominators etc...

Is the Mugen 2 compatible with the MSI P7N Diamond motherboard ?
Im using 2 memory slots with Corsair Dominator memory.

Thx in advance

Edit :

Did a bit more research and I think/hope it will fit easy, i checked the X48 which apparently uses the same heatpipe design but the P7N looks like it has more room between the cpu and memory since its DDR2, please correct me if im wrong though.

I consider getting the MSI X58 Platinum (seems to be structurally identical to the SLI). So the Mugen 2 heatsink is not blocked by the northbridge (?) heatsink? From your post I assume that you did not mount the fan above the RAM slots, but between the Mugen 2 heatsink and the back of the case. Is this correct? If so, why didn't you mount the fan above the RAM slots, or would they be blocked by the fan?
