I am writing to confirm the Mugen 2 works great on the MSI DKA790GX Platinum! I saw there was some confusion to it but I'm here to clear it up

I will post pics in a few days when my camera gets back.
edit: here are a few pics. I couldn't get real close to the heatpipes because it is in the case but there is a good bit of clearance on them. Click link for bigger picture. Sorry for the poor camera quality I was in a rush.

A quick note to let you know that the Mugen 2 installs without any trouble on the Asus Maximus Gene micro-ATX motherboard. The mounting backplate does come quite close to a small component on the back side of the board, but doesn't touch it.

If you mount the heatsink so that the broad side faces the front of the motherboard, the heatsink does extend a little (about a centimeter) over the side of the board, so the case you are putting the board into must accommodate this.

Regards,
Gramkow

has anyone tried this heatsink on:
Asus P6T vanilla version
Cooler Master Storm Scout case?

Seems like a tight fit, was wondering if it'll fit without me having to remove the top fan or something...

Fit on P6T and the Case if you have the 16 cm for the Mugen 2, but what the hell is the Vanilla Version?

Wink

I got my Mugen 2.

It can fit on DFI LP DK x38 T2R without extra doing, when wider side is NOT facing the rear case fan.

If you want to mount it so the wider side faces the rear case fan (like i do), you need to cut very small part of the northbridge heatsink, actually the corner, because heatpipe is stroking it. After this Mugen 2 fits perfectly .

If pics needed ask.

MfG

Hi,

also der Mugen sollte soweit ganz gut passen.
