Last: 50-54°C bei 1000-1200 UPM

Gruß, Tim

Hi Zol,

This board is a nightmare of layout design. In our view there are only 2 ways. first: you can mount the cooler only in the horizontal position, second: you can only mount a fan in the lift side (blowing) or on the top (sucking), both is not the best, but is should work.

cheers chris

You do realize, this is the (#1) bestseller i7 motherboard on Newegg available today?
Try sorting by reviews.

What is the problem with these EVGA X58 motherboards exactly?

Is it the big tall hump cooler sticking out?
Does it collide with the MUGEN 2?
Is that the only problem?
Is there any issue with the cpu bracket too?

Also, please be specific. Have you specifically tested BOTH the x58 SLI and the x58 Classified?
The x58 CLASSIFIED has a totally different cooling system on it, which does not "stick up" as much.

And from another angle...

You tested it?

If so, please explain the issue.
Thanks.

@Zol;

the problem is only mentioned to the X58 classified. The problem here ist that the NB Cooler is too high and near to the CPU socket. Maxiumum high for such coolers is normally 40 mm, but this looks like much more, so the mugen would collide the NB Cooler in vertical position. Its hard to say, but if you have the board allready, please check it with this Data: http://www.scythe-eu.com/forum/mugen...atibility.html
From my point of view i can not garantee that a vertical position fits.

On the normal X58 SLi all should fit without problems.
PS: we only can test such boards via google, images and experience in things like this. It is not possible to test all the Motherboards on the Market for physicaly compatibility.

@Spatfrak
Your board is no Problem for our Mugen 2.

What is the best way to install the Mugen 2?

Push configuration (blowing), with the fan blowing upwards, like this?

Also, is this the "vertical position" you mentioned?

So should the 2 rows of heatpipes be parallel with the PCI cards, like it is in this picture? Is that best configuration?

"you can only mount a fan in the lift side (blowing) or on the top (sucking), both is not the best, but is should work"

what is a "lift side" ?

MFG Chris

Hi zol,

that what you show in this image is the horizontal position with a vertical airflow. The beste way is vertical cooler mounting with a horizontal airflow.

"you can only mount a fan in the lift side (blowing) or on the top (sucking), both is not the best, but is should work" this should be explained now ?

@stritzi

Danke für dein Feedback
