Hallo Leutz
Speicherbank eingebaut.
Kann es da zu Platzproblemen kommen?

Hi,
i was able to fit the scythe mugen 2 into my P5Q pro with all slots full of dominator memory... i had to push and pull and bend the retention brackets, but its on and working now.... Method: bolt the mugen 2 on your cpu ( with thermalpaste), then put in the first stick of dominator ( closest to the hs), then put on 1 bracket, then push the other one in place ( you will need to use force, and you ram stick will be rock solid pushed into the ram socket)...

thats how i did it

Hello all,

@mirosik

@boonet

thx for your explanations... it sounds strange, but if it works well in your system, why not. Can you make some picturen for us?

Kind Regards
Chris

sure, the only thing is that the fan is now pushed above the cooler ( so air is not used optimally)... What can you tell me about the temps i should get with this cooler when oc'ing an q9550 to 4Ghz at 1.38125... i have now with prime large fft's 68-68-61-63, how can i make those temps even, i did evrything, without lapping cpu (would this help maybe) ?

tonight ill post some pics on it...

Hello boonet,

its a little bit confusing, but what are your temps now:

1. q9550 to 4Ghz/ 1.38 / 68-68-61-63°C
2. 1.36875 / 83-83-78-77

its maybe a effect of the fan position or maybe the hs of your CPU. First what i would do is, remove 2 memory sticks and try it with a better fan position. If this will not work better, try to leap your heatspreader.

Kind Regards
Chris

Ok, srry for confusement: temps are now with vcore at 1.36825:
prime large fft's: 60-60-51-55
linx: 85-85-78-78

especially the difference between the temps are not as i would like to see it, the hight isn't to nice either... if i can find the right sandpaper i think im going to lap the cpu, do i have lap the heatsink also??

Hi Chris,

Hello!

I can confirm that the Mugen 2 fits perfectly on the DFI Lanparty DK P45 T2RS Plus. You can even use the first ram dimm if you mound the fan as high as you can.
It is simply awesome.
If anyone needs any pictures please let me know and I'll be happy to post them for you.
