Something known about the compatibility of the Samurai with the MSI P45 Platinum?

If not...i will find it out in a few days.

Another question about the direction of the cooler with respect to the case.
I would interpret the drawings in the installation manual like this:
I can achieve the best cooling results if i mount the cooler with the slopes of the heatpipes downwards (end of the heatpipes pointing upwards). It makes also sense in the way that the Case's FAN's can blow through the Cooler as well.

On the drawing in the manual, or page 5 of this post...it looks like this, although the posts and some comments here say otherwise.

Please can you clarify this?
Thank you!

Edit: Have any problem occurred so far due to the weight of the cooler?

Hy,

die MSI P45 is a lil bit crapy i think. But the Samurai shouled fit in the horizontal and the best vertical position. In this way you check the situation right.

Today the components arrived...the Samurai fits to the MSI P45 Platinum in perfect direction.

Only the mounting is horrible. The Pushpins are difficult to reach an not easy to lock! It's very hard to mount the cooler...i hope i destroyed nothing. It was the third system i build together...so can compare a little bit. I was very careful and did the mounting outside the case, of course. I'll see...

I'm definitively not happy with this push-pin-system, but ok, its a problem of the socket. I think i'll give you a short status upgrade if the system is running.

Best, Ancalagon

Hi again! The Andy Samurai Master is working on the "MSI P45 Platinum" perfect. System is running and stable.
You can update your list :-)
