Here are some pictures of Andy Samurai Master with Gigabyte EX38-DS4 which has the same layout as the X48 as far as i could see from pictures.

Andy fits in 3 of 4 orientations, only with heatpipes to northbridge there is a problem - all others are okay.

Thanks for the reply and pictures !!

You wouldn't happen to have the same pictures but from above (looking directly down on motherboard) to see how far the HS and pipes go?

hi.

i would like to know if i can use the Scythe Andy Samurai Master with the Gigabyte GA-EP45-DS3P motherboard or are there any problems (e.g. can't use, can only use with one direction, can use but RAM-slot or PCIe-slot or another slot can't be used at the same time).

here is a link to the official Gigybyte GA-EP45-DS3P website: LINK

Hello Escaflowne,

as far as I could see from pictures, Andy should fit in 2 or 3 directions.

Cheers,
Stefan

Hy,

in my opinion, you could get problems regarding to the distance between the CPU Socket and NB Heatsink.

Option 1: You can remove the Heatsink from your NB, put the Andy Samurai on your Socket and than you replace the NB Cooler.

Option 2: An other way is to put the cooler on the cpu socket and try to press the "right" Clip at first under the nose of the bracket. than try to fix the other side.

im not sure thats enough space on this Motherboard for option 2, but option 1 should work fine.

Hi,

I have a P5K Premium/WiFi AP, and I plan to buy the Andy Samurai Master, but i dont't know, wheather it fits.

I think the P5K Deluxe and the P5K Premium/WiFi AP use the same heatpipe, so it could fit. But I want to be sure.

Who knows more?

PS: I want to use the Universal Retention Kit, not the Push Pins.
