Default Gigabyte X38 DS4

HI I can confirm that the Ninja Plus Rev. B
fits the gigabyte X38 DS4, none of the heat pipes or fins touch any part of the mobo but the fan covers the first 2 Ram slots and there is only about 5mm space between these so may be a problem with some Ram with large heat speader/pipes.

I have the Thermaltake Soprano case which gives plenty of room for lifting the Ninja fan upwards on the heat sink to give more clearance to the ram should you need it.
Hope this helps

Ramius

Hi there!

Some statement from me coming up next.

Els: GA-73PVM-S2H seems to be in the "OK" range and the compatibility chance is here around 90%. So I can not find any issues. The heatsink on the Northbidge is the typical Gigabyte heatsink which never caused trouble until now.

Gilb:
The RAM will not be a problem but Ninja PLUS as it is now, will hit the capacitors with the Heatpipe. There is a chance, that if you push them a bit away, that that will work fine but then I can not guarantee anything. In most cases people just push away the capacitors as if you are careful, nothing will happen.

FatBack: Check your PMs, I sent you one. Short answer for everyone: If it is Socket 939, then OK, but AM2 is not compatible. Other coolers should work fine as long as they are designed for standard sockets like 939 and 478.

Ramius: Thanks for the info. I have updated the list with a link to your statement. Thanks!

shadow: See answer to Els regarding the Gigabyte Mobo. ASUS P5E-V/P5E-VM HDMI looks safe as well. My rating would be around 90% compatibility chance.

Cheers,
Shinigami

Default P5k Pro + DHX

I'm looking for this combination: Ninja + Asus P5K PRO + Corsair DHX and I'm wondering if any issue is possible.
Being the P5K PRO very similar to P5K Deluxe I guess it would be OK, the only concern coming from the mobo's heat spreader closer to the PSU (is there enough space to push and turn Ninja's pins? - the image is taken from another thread about P5K Deluxe).
The other question is: is possible to use Corsair DHX RAM (those with heat spreader) in the first slot, with the fan attached to that side of the Ninja?
Thank you!

I own a MSI K9a2 CF and this baby fits great on it. The only bad thing is that the fan covers the first three RAM slots.
So you can add it to the list of supported motherboards.
Since a picture tells more than a 1000 words:
