Hi everyone. We wish you a happy New Year.

sbrundell: Abit IP35 Pro should be compatible as well, because the heatsink does not look significant bigger.

Backfixer: Thanks for confirming the compatibility to the ASUS A8N32-SLI Deluxe. I can only find the Deluxe version, so I assume you meant Deluxe version.

chliJs: It does look safe to me. I would say the chances are 93% that it will fit w/o any problems. The heatsink is not really a bother here. I can not guarantee for capacitors, because of the manufacturing tolerances and revisions of the Mobo.

Aky: ASUS A8N-E should be fine with Ninja PLUS. I can only assume that some capacitor's could interfere but this depends on the manufacturing tolerance.

Cheers,
Andy

Hi Aky,

Thanks for the confirmation. The capacitors problem is some pain with 939,940 and AM sockets.

Ninja CU has a different Heatpipe construction, should be better then.

Andy

Hi S_l,

The GA-8IPE1000 seems to be ok but the typical problem are the older type of capacitors which are close to the retention and Ninja PLUS Heatpipes would touch them, so you "might need" to push the capacitors a bit away. Besides this, there seem to be no problems with the Mainboard.

steglits: ASUS P5E looks pretty good with the design, simple and not crazy Heatpipe-construction. Should be fine with Ninja Plus.

Hello!

I'm searching desperately for a ultra silent cpu cooler that fits on the MSI K9N Neo V3. Problem is, that the memory banks are VERY close to the cpu socket.

Does the Scythe Ninja PLUS Rev. B or the Scythe Mugen fit this Board?

Also I would be VERY happy, if you could provide some information about the dimentions of the heatsink & cooler of the Ninja and the Mugen. I don't mean the dimentions over all, but the dimentions at the base of the heatsink.

At the MSI K9N Neo V3 I have 15mm from the edge of the cpu-socket to the first memory bank. (From the edge of the black heatsink mounting bracket it's only 3mm to the memory modules. That's damn narrow!) The memory module is 30mm high (if memory is built in). So does ANY of the Scythe cpu heatsinks fit on this constellation?

Your help ist very appreciated!

Thanks in advance.

Stefan

Hello,

Stefan:: Ninja PLUS and Mugen should be fine with the mentioned Mobo. I can not see any problems. As for dimensions please check the following.
http://www.scythe-eu.com/forum/ninja...imensions.html
Mugen's first fins start at 36mm measured from the base-plate.

So basically the RAM should be OK because the fins are taller.

chmavr: MSI 865PE NEO2 flsr should be fine with Ninja PLUS. I can not see any issue here. I can never guarantee but it should be fine
