Hello tonschk,

are you using the Universal Retention Kit?
If yes, please send me your post-address via PN.

Cheers,
Stefan

Default Asus P5K-WS

Can anyone let me know if the Asus P5K-WS mainboard can take a Ninja Plus Rev. B?

Many thanks!

Hello downswalker,

all P5K-boards are compatible as far as I would estimate this from pictures.

Cheers,
Stefan

Ninja rev.B fits ASUS P5Q-E. Tight fit and make yourself a favour and take a loong screwdriver but it fits. Bolt-Thru was for my peace of mind.

Final setup

Some temps in load at 26°C room temperature.

Me=very happy. Summer, low RPM's fans and Ninja fanless can keep an E8400 under 55°C in full-load.

this cooler fits without any problems whatsoever on K9a2 Platinum.

the only downside is that the first two ram slots are covered with the FAN

putting the fan on the other side as an outtake fan wouldn't that cool less?

If you mount it that it is blowing the air to the fan on the backside, there should be no problem.

The question if blowing or sucking makes any difference is an ongoing discussion.

As Ninja is rather "independent" from the airflow blowing or sucking doesn't matter as much as it did with coolers like Mugen due to their narrow fins. Mugen benefits much more than Ninja from higher rpms and higher static pressure whilst Ninja was designed for passive or semi-passive usage with very low fan speeds.

Watch your temps, test it - but as hiroshige said I believe there won't be big differences for sucking through Ninja or blowing through Ninja.

Bye Oli
