Hey Guys. I just mounted my "Ninja Plus Rev.B" Cooler on my new "DFI Lanparty DK P35-T2RS" and it fits without touching any components on the mainboard (push-pin). Only thing is, I would have preferred to mount it with the retention kit, but no go without the small extra copperplate which I dont want to use because of the cooling performance.

We are back and the answers are coming.

Pexi: Oli did a good job so far. The Ninja PLUS Rev. A is compatible to socket 775, but you need to have the supplied backplate mechanism, which was with it. Do you still have it? If yes, then there is no need in buying the Universal Retention Kit, because it is the same thing that you have with your Ninja. I don't have the mobo here, but based on the images I found, there should be no problems with the Abit IP35 Pro. The heatsink seems to be not that tall and it is in safe distance.

Oli: Thanks!

Els: Ok, thanks for confirming. I will add it to the list. I hope you'll enjoy the silence

Child: Thanks for the conformation! I will add it to the list right away. As for the Retention Kit, it is not a must, you can also mount the Heatsink w/o the copper spacer

Hi, how compatible would the GA-K8N Ultra-SLI be? I'm wondering if the row of capacitors directly by the CPU socket would get in the way.

I'd say it looks perfectly safe for Ninja - much space between socket and the capacitors. To be sure you should wait for another user or Shinigami from Scythe to confirm.

Bye Oliver

Why the scythe ninja (i dont know the copper version but i want to buy this version) is incobatybile to a ASUS M2N32 Sli motherboard? i need this motherboard becose i need AM2 Procesor, 4DDR2 Slots, 2 PCI Slots, 2 integrated network kart, and a very sata port, I have a big tower chieftec case and i need a few hdd in my system... I must have the most silent system to work in uniwersity... I spend more time to find the best motherboard for me and this is the Asus M2N32 SLI model...

Referring to the images I'd guess because of the heatpipes next to the CPU socket. Depending on their height they could interfere with the aluminium fins fo the Ninja.

On the other hand in the Mugen thread this board is listed as compatible and the fins of the Mugen do not begin at such a different height. But as another user in the Katana thread reports that the onboard coolers are too high I still beliebe this is the reason why Ninja is listed as incompatible.

Whilst installing my scythe ninja in my current motherboard (MSI Neo2 Platinum) I discovered that one of the sockets that the screws go into to hold the bracket in place was buggered... its threading has obviously wore away... I've temporarily fixed it by using a fair bit of super glue

Its only a matter of time before it fails, so before that happens I need to either get an entire new PC (as its a 939 socket CPU and AGP graphics, both obsolete) or I need to get a replacement motherboard.

I've found a website selling this motherboard and was just wondering if anyone could tell me if it would be compatible with the Scythe Ninja? As £70 for this mobo will mean I can leave buying a new PC for 6 months or so as to be honest my PC is currently working fine for my needs and is nice and quiet...
