Hello folks!

Frenzer: Mugen would be fine with this Mobo, but Ninja will not work because of the capacitors. In the past we had no issues with Mugen and socket 478 Mainboards.

Computron: I don't have this Mobo around, sorry. I think it will only fit one way and you have to put the fan on the shorter side. Then it should work with 90% compatibility chance I'd say.

infected: Thanks for your help and posting the images! The list was updated

dragon: The Gigabyte GA-965P-DQ6 should be fine but first version was a bit difficult to be mounted. The fins are slightly touch the cooling construction on that Mainboard if I remember well. Other than that it worked with Mugen with the old layout.

Default Gigabyte MA790FX-DQ6 Rev 1.0

It isnt fully compatible. You lose 2 RAM-Slots if you want to install the cooler heading to the front. So you cant use Dual-Channel . I had to send the mugen back.

Hello again.

Vog3lm4nn:
Sorry, but there is not much I can do, the second slot should be fine though, unless you want to block 4 RAM Slots. With normal RAM is should be fine, right?

Anachron: MSI K9A2 Platinum V2 looks rather safe with the heatsinks around. RAM is a usual AM2 issue, if you plan to use tall ram like Corsair DTX, then Mugen will block first 2 slots. It is really unfortunate, but it is something we have to live with for now.

Gigabyte GA-X48-DQ6: compatible

I mounted it with the optional retention kit without spacer and without washers ....

Be aware about high size memory modules !! On normal memory module size there it is no problem ....

There is maybe an other way to mount the fan, if you have problems with high size memory modules. In some cases, you can "move" the fan a little bit away from the modules.
