Anyone know if the Mugen is compatible with the MSI P7N Diamond motherboard?

It looks critical - this round chipset cooler next to the CPU socket looks rather high. It could collide with Mugen even with Ninja. I'm quite pessimestic concerning compatibility in this case but you should wait for Shinigami to make statement.

Frenzer: The MSI P7N Diamond is pretty difficult to tell. I think there is only one direction that might fit, but then the fan needs to go on the shorter side of Mugen. I would even say the chance of compatibility is 55% only.

I maybe wrong but it looks bad IMHO. Those capacitors above the CPU socket seem to be too close and will probably collide with Mugens heatsink directly above the cooler socket. And in this Socket 478 setup you cannot even rotate Mugen (90 degrees) to avoid the capacitors cause Mugen's tool free mounting systems allows only on mounting direction for S478 (longer side of Mugen parallel to ATX IO shield).

Question DFI LanParty LT X38 T2R

Greetings from the Lowlands (puffpuff),

Why I would like the Mugen on my DFI LanParty LT X38 T2R:
Well balanced weight distribution for horizontal mounting.
Symmetrical design for even heat dispensation all around.
Close fin structure for maximum surface area.
All copper heat pipes run all the way through the base and both sides ensuring optimal hot/cold exchange inside the pipes.
Cooling fin body fits close to the base so the heat does not have to travel far before it gets cooled by the fin body.
QUADRUPLE FAN MOUNTING SYSTEM FOR DUAL VECTOR PUSH AND PULL AIRFLOW!!!

My question:I have not seen the DFI LanParty LT X38 T2R mentioned. Is it compatible?

I figure the Mugen WILL fit if you have not installed the stock North Bridge cooler that comes with the DFI LanParty LT X38 T2R package . However if you DO install the NB-cooler, the Mugen might only fit with the broader side facing the NB.. or not at all .
I have no idea how it would fit as far as the rest of the components around the CPU socket or the RAM sockets go, but this is just my 2 cents.

You have some good logical thinkers in your design team... me liky .
Keep up the good work.

i have a Abit IP35 Pro, the Scythe Mugen fits even without interrupting the headspreaders, only in one direction but it works. There are positions where the "cooler" hangs over the slots of the ram but i can handle it so that the cooler needn't hang over them.
Abit - IP35 Pro

so far infected
