Here we go again!

colum: Thanks for the info. Not sure if you have our new clips or it is already a new retention from BIOSTAR. Maybe they finally adjusted to standard retentions. Pictures would be really appreciated.

K.M.Bak: P5K Pro should be ok, even the heatsinks are close and already pretty tall. Mugen is same ti former ********.

luluthemonkey: The retention Kit is actually using just the standard Intel layout so it should fit in 99% the cases. I don't see any issues there. Thanks for confirming the compatibility to the Abit AB9 Quad GT.

19AvdP79: Thanks for your help. I have updated the list

Hello again!
Still about Asus P5K... What about P5K-E/WiFi-AP? Looks like Deluxe or Premium so there shoud be no problem but? Any data about it?

What about automatic regulation of RPM. ********/Mugen has 3pin fan (no PWM!), how Q-FAN2 works on Asus P5K boards?

Asus M3A
AMD Athlon64 X2 6400+ cooled by Scythe Mugen.
OCZ 2048MB KIT PC2-6400U Reaper HPC Edition CL3

As you can see, the closest memory slot has been buried by the cooler, and the fan had to be placed as shown above.

Default Gigabyte GA-P35-DQ6

I can see the Mugen is compatabile with Gigabyte GA-P35-DQ6. However, there are 2 revisions of this mainboard. I've got the first one with a huge copper cooling system (3 sides around the CPU).

Will the Mugen fit without problems for the cooling system and/or memory on revision 1 of this mainboard

Hi there!

fr7: Thanks for confirming, update was made. =D

Bartje: GigaByte GA-965P-DS3 was fine as far as I can remember from the past. There should be no issues.

PeterStoba: The ASUS P5KPL-VM seem to have a simple layout, no issues located. 90% compatibility chance.

Kees030: I had the first version here, that had even the small crazy tower on top. It was fitting in my tests, no problems.

CeeJay: Thanks for posting. Really helpful to have the images as well. The compatibility is updated.

K.M.Bak:
Seems like you have mounted already. Thanks for confirming and sorry for late respond.
