for Socket 478/775/754/939/940

I am afraid it doesn't work with AM2. This also complies to all I've read about it in the forums although I'm not an AMD user. Sorry.

But I think you won't need the Ret Kit with AM2 cause it delivers a much better mounting method "out-of-the-box" than Intel's socket 775 does with its pushpins.

Please post some pics when you installed Mugen on your board! THX!

The board looks quite safe concerning 3 sides of the CPU socket. Only the side parallel to the ATX I/O shield with those capacitors and coils could be a problem.

Please wait until Monday when a member of Scythe staff can comment on this.

Bye Oli

Hi people, I hope everyone is doing well

4ndr3w: It depends on wich side and which PC Case you have and which way you put Mugen in. It should be possible to use it, but if you want to palce the fan over the heatsinks of the Mobo, you need to make sure, the space in the case to the top is enough, otherwise you won't be able to close the side panel.
The RAM should be fine, you can cover it with the 120mm Fan.

Socket Am2 is not compatible to the retention kit yet, sorry.

SocialUser: A8N-SLI Deluxe should be fine, I did not see or hear any issues yet. It seems to be fine based on my experience.

djskek: Asus P5Q Pro is what I have here, it seems to work fine with Mugen. Only the huge RAM heatsinks are a bit of a Problem as usual.

I notice the a8r32 sli on your compatibility list, how about the more common a8n32 sli?

My scythe mugen works superbly on my av8 3rd eye but I need a pci-e board to upgrade from agp (several years too late I know), thanks for your help in advance.

Mugen should fit onto this board.
Cheers,

Hi, does anybody know - how Mugen fit to Asus Maximus/Maximus II Formula boards? I havn't find any official information about it. And these MBs are absent in compatibility list.
Is it also possible to install all 4 RAM planks (without radiators, fan direction to the RAM).
And also - should i use the retention kit or it not so nessesary?

i know, i already posted in the Andy Samurai Master Compatibility thread, but after a friend made me rethink my case-decision, i want to know if i can use the Scythe Mugen with the Gigabyte GA-EP45-DS3P.

here is the link to the official Gigybyte GA-EP45-DS3P website: LINK

i heard it's better in cooling than the Andy Samurai Master, right?
my case will be 20cm to 21cm wide, so i shouldn't have a problem with the place, right?

sorry for troubling you again.
