Every support is appreciated and would help other users as well so please feel free to supply any useful compatibility tips, pictures.

Disclaimer:
Please note that this compatibility may not apply to all the motherboards as the manufacturer randomly tend to change the components (capacitors, condensers, etc) used for their motherboard without informing to the public. Hence, the height of the capacitors and condensers maybe higher depending on the production lot of the motherboard.

Is it possible installing the Orichi at a MSI P45 Platinum motherboard ( http://global.msi.eu/index.php?func=...1&prod_no=1479 ).

Nice CPU-cooler! If it fits I will buy one...

Hello Wonderd,

Orochi should without any problems.
Please keep in mind, that there could be problems regarding RAM with large heatspreaders.

Kind regards,

Thanks. Also for the quick response!
Now researching if this will fit in a CoolerMaster CM690 where 176.7 mm maximum height is available for CPU Cooler...

Well, it should fit.

Orochi Dimensions

Orochi is 155mm w/o the fan installed. Add some mms for the Mainboard and mainboard's distance from the side panel - perhaps a top-blowing installation won't work but tower method should fit.

I couldn't manage to install the Orochi on an Asus P5E64 WS Evolution due to lack of space between the capacitors surrounding the CPU and the retention mechanism of the cooler. Any suggestion? Buy another brand?
No problem instead using CORSAIR - Dimm 2x2GB DDR3 PC3-12800 C9 Corsair XMS3 DHX.
Thanks, regards.

Hello BULU63,

actually the only solution would be buying an other cooler and using the CPU Stabilizer 775 - maybe this will work.

Cheers,

Hello prijo,

Orochi should fit if you don't use RAM with too high heatspreaders.

Cheers,
Stefan
