Quite impressing; maybe I'll buy some additional case-fans, when I can spare some money for them, and see that my motherboard-temp. get down to at least 30-35°C

hi!

I just bought a andy samurai and a gigabyte Ulta Durable 2 p35-DS4 (rev1.0) and now i'm realy wondering how you managed to attach the samurai to the motherboard.

the passive cooling fins on the motherboard are about 1cm (~1/4 inch) too high.. i can twist n turn the samurai where ever i want. I have no chance to get full contact to the CPU. (btw: the picture on the official gigabyte website doesn't match the look of my motherboard.)

edit: i found a page that shows the Cooling pipes and fins für my motherboard. it's german but i think the picture gives you an idea of the problem:

Hi everyone.

Thanks a lot for supplying pictures and informations. I will update and also split the Compatibility list into different threads, as it is getting too big slowly. So soon it will be one thread per cooler. This will ideally happen this week because I just returned and a lot of things are blocking my time.

Some followups...

Fog of War:
Would you consider this as compatible? I would say it is, but other users might be upset because they expect to use all 4. Adding notes to each motherboard would make things very complicated...

frado:
The temps are on the higher side but there are a couple things you might have not counted in. Ambient temperature? Furthermore are there any other fans inside the case? Overclocking is possible, until you hit 70°C but how far you can go depends on your CPU. Could you please describe your PC? I think I can help out.

grosquickzen:
I would say it is compatible but I don't have the motherboard here to confirm. Yet there is also one possible issue with capacitor's that might be a bit higher, that's something we can not influence.

Balthazzar:
Ok that sounds a bit difficult. Did they change the revision? I'll contact Gigabyte this week to get a couple of the new motherboards to check everything on my own. Could you get me a picture of the mentioned problem please??

Greetings,
Andy

Default Asus P5K Deluxe + Mine Rev B

Asus P5K and Mine Rev B seems to be working fine

No problem installing, havent yet checked the temperature but seems to be running without problems (with a Q6700 CPU). Might report temperature reading later, as soon as I am done with all the installations.

nik_lin:
If temps are on the safe side, then I'm ok with it. We test all coolers with 130W and that is what Q6700 should have.
Thanks for confirming!

Andy

Yeah I think it should be ok, since Q6700 is also using the new G0 stepping which means lower energy consumption and less heat. Havent yet had time to do any readings though, will check it later.

Hi !

Will the Ninja PLUS CPU Cooler or ******** fit MSI P6N SLI V2 ??
And what else will fit this motherboard becouse the north bridge radiator is quite big. I read that MSI P6N Sli Platinum is compatible but it's a bit different.
