Default Mugen 3, Vengeance RAM (2 sticks), P8P67 Dlx/Pro/Evo compatibility?

Hi, i am looking for a nice cooler for my 2600K and i am thinking of buying the Mugen 3.

I use two sticks of Corsair Vengeance RAM and i have an Asus P8P67 Evo.

Does anyone know if i will have clearance problems with the Mugen and the Vengeance RAM? I care for only 2 sticks of RAM but i need to operate them dual channel.

Thanks in advance.

If your case is wide enough you can hang the fan a bit higher on Mugen to get the clearance for your RAM.

The rest is as with nearly ANY recent board and bigger coolers: at least 1-2 slots will be covered by the fan. And as dual channel setup always uses one the those two slots you will get problems.

So you can a) hang the fan higher, b) put it on the other side (pull setup) or c) just use lower RAM modules.

As Oli wrote: at least 1-2 slots will be covered by the fan

Although the angle of the photo isn't that clear to be really precise I would guess that mounting the fan about 5mm higher on Mugen should lead to the necessary clearance for this type of RAM modules.

EDIT: I was wrong. When you take a closer look at Sansay's pictures you will see that the fan is already mounted in a high position on Mugen but still doesn't give enough space for the Vengeance modules.

Hi Oli,
das war die obere Lüfterposition. Ram hat zu höhe Rippen.

Stimmt. Doch arg hoch.
