[edit] can be closed! Sorry, I am an idiot: the cooling-plate of the katana makes the assembly kit "higher", so of course WITHOUT the cooler it's too low - now it fits. but the spacer is not needed... now everything worls fine!



Bin ein Depp: ohne Kühlkörper ist das ganze Ding ja flacher - mit passt es nun. Den spacer braucht man aber nicht, PC läuft jetzt einwandfrei! [/edit]

I have puchased the Universal Retention Kit for my Katana 2. After instaing the backplate, I first tried without the cooler, if the assembly kit fits. but the Kit does not fit properly: there is part which lies UNDER the So478-assembly clip, so that I can't push it down. If I push the part sideward, I can push the kit completely down - but then it has contact to that part. Here a picture BEFORE pushing the part put of the way, the yellow circle marks the "conflict"-part:

this is the side of the assembly clip with the release hooks. if I turn it 180 degrees it even fits worse...

question: can I "push" that part a little bit out of the way, or would'nt that be recommended at all?

ps: The copper spacer does not solve the prob, or does it? Do I need btw. that spacer for my katana2? I've read from somebody, that its not needed...?

Leider passt das Retention Kit nicht richtig... ich habe die backplate verschraubt und zur Probe mal die Befstigungsklemme für So478 übergestülpt, aber unter ihr ist ein Kondensator oder Elko (?) im Weg. Das Bild zeigt das Problem, BEVOR ich den Kondensator zur Seite drcke. Es ist die Seite mit den "losen" Haken an der Klemme. Wenn ich die Klemme um 180 Grad gedreht einbauen will, dann passt es sogar schlechter. Ich kann den Kondensator einen Tick zur Seite drücken, damit ich die Klemme bis nach unten drücken kann, und dann berührt die Platte aber den kondenstor ständig. Die Platte ist quasi genau auf Höhe des "Kopfes" des Kondensators... ist das unproblematisch, oder sollte ich das Modul lieber gar nicht nicht einsetzen? Wäre eine Berührung schlimm => Wärmeübertragung? Oder kühlt die Berührung am Ende sogar noch den Kondenstor...?

ps: der Kupferspacer bringt für Problem ja nichts, da er ja "im loch" sitzt, oder? braucht man den Spacer überhaupt zwingend für den Katana? Irgendwo las ich, dass man den grar nicht braucht...
