Here's what this cooler was built for, I think. I have a low profile nMediaPC HTPC case, a micro ATX board, and a 4 core processor. So -- I have to keep the inside of the case cool even though it is in an enclosed space.

Case: nmediapc model 1080P
Board: ASUS M4A88TD-M/USB3
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition Deneb 3.4GHz
Memory: G.SKILL Ripjaws Series DDR3

Had to squish the heat sinks on one of the DIMMs. Going forward, I'd get memory without those fancy fins on them! Also, absolutely had to remove the board from the case to get the cooler on the CPU.

I actually have more room, I think I'll go for a full-size 120mm fan instead of the slim one it comes with if I can get more airflow and less sound.
