Hi Oli,
im wonder if they really disable this function. But what i also think about, sometimes this little "trick" works. Connect the Katana 3 Fan to CPU Fan connector and reset the Bios. but lets see what we can get. Cheers Chris

First of all - thank you for keep writing suggestions!
Oli: Your right regarding the mainboard. I came to the same conclusion. And HP and ASUS writes that you should use the HP BIOS software. And I have the latest version. I do not have the guts to do different. I'll have a look at the chassic fan. sumo: I'll have an extra look at the BIOS. Btw it's an old style BIOS. No drop-down. I'll be back. ![]() |

If there is no jumpder for bios reset, then simply remove the batery of your mainboard for arroung 10-20 min. Thats is in effect the same like a normal bios reset.

I switched the connectors, and it worked.
Now I can start my machine. That leaved me with the challenge - when CPU gets hot it will start the chassis fan. It use SpeedFan for this purpose. So problem partly solved. Not the best solution, but for now it works. |
