Default Katana 2 socket compatibility

Hi I have a Katana 2 that's served me well on a Q6600 LGA775, great.

I've just upgraded to an i5 6600K LGA1151, MB is an ASUS Z170-K ATX

I measured using MSPaint - the LGA775 spacing is smaller so it wont fit, however the assembly is in two parts.

The mounting bracket for the Katana 4? will this fit the Katana 2? How can I make this fit?

I really want to keep the Scythe, is there an adapter available to accommodate the new spacing?

Thanks for any information.

Hi thorin92
The mounting parts of the Katana 4 will not fit to Katana 2 because the mounting holes have different distances.
One possibility would be to mount on the socket 1151 with a screw kit with backplate of Mugen 3 or Ninja 3. You can order one if you make a request to the Scythe support.
