Yes, I am in the Netherlands. Do I send it to this address?
Billbrookdeich 102 22113 Hamburg Germany Some more info for those who might be interested. Original power brick: Contact Data Replaced power brick: Starmen Tested with the following IDE devices: - Quantum Fireball LCT 15 [20 GB] - Maxtor [40 GB] - Seagate ST380012A [80 GB] - Western Digital WD1200 [120 GB] - BENQ DW 1655 - LITE-ON DH30A4P CRC read errors occur with all IDE HDDs. I made one HDD unreadable by having an application repair broken sectors that only looked broken through KC2. Now I know I should avoid writing to IDE HDDs through this particular KC2. I just tested KC2 SATA HDD -> IDE burner with a new LITE-ON on a new PC and a 3 GB ISO. "DMA-driver error, CRC error" after: 4X: 2:35 minutes 6X: 1:50 minutes 8X: 17 seconds Also tested local SATA -> KC2 IDE burner + a SATA HDD connected but unused. "DMA-driver error, CRC error" after: 4X: 55 seconds Finally, KC2 IDE Burner only, 2x 700 MB file: 4X: burn complete. However, ScanDisc reveals 0.1% damaged sectors, resulting in a quality score of 47% per file. The following media: - DVD+R Verbatim / Taiyo Yuden T03 - DVD+R Verbatim / Moser Baer MCC04 - DVD+RW Ricoh / Ricoh RICOHJPNW21 - DVD+RW Verbatim / Mitsubishi Chemical MKMA02 On Asus and Gigabyte motherboard, Intel and AMD cpu. (I like testing ) |

Stefan, I just received the replacement revision 200805110711.
It came in a ridiculously large box and enough bubble wrap to cover my room - I guess I had that coming since my package wasn't really conventional either In the past half hour I tested the new Kama Connect 2. - the new power brick is silent, unlike the Starmen and Contact Data ones - no more weird characters in filenames (side effect of corrupt data transfer) - CRC checks on at least the 2 different WD IDE harddisks I tested have been succesful So far, looking good! |
