I have checked that when I plugin the power adapter to the drive from a molex of my PC power suppply, evrething is OK. So I agree that something is wrong with the power adapter of the kamma connect 2.

Really disappointed....
Hello jrg,

please write a PN to me with your adress, we will try to exchange the short Molex-cable connecting the KC2 and the HDD.

Cheers,
Stefan

My molex cable is fine for me and still i have problem with CRC error with 3,5" ATA drives.
I one more time i told you: when i connect 3,5" ATA drive and at the same time 2,5" ata drive - ALL IS OK, because one of them is ATA33 and second is ATA100. Both together work at ATA33.
When i plugg ATA33 IDE 3,5" ALL IS FINE. ONLY IDE ATA66 hard drive or faster DOESN'T WORK FINE.

I'm from Poland. Do you still try to exchange the short Molex-cable to ME??

Sorry for my bad English.

Bye

Hello ryek,

just to understand: You can be sure, that the power-supply is allright? Maybe it is to weak to support drives faster than ATA66. Did you ever try to use a 4pin molex directly from your internal PSU without using the Power switch which is delivered with the KC2?

If you did, I think the best thing we could do is a RMA. Please send your KC to the shop where you bought it and leave a message inside of the case for me. When the KC2 arrives here, I will test it for myself.

Cheers,
Stefan

@hiroshige
Yes, with internal PSU works fine, but it is CRAZY.

Ok, but WHY this same drive 3,5" ATA (ata66/100/133) works fine with together at the same time with ATA 2,5 IDE drive on my KC2 with THIS KC2 BOX MOLEX. Very, very stupid.
I can't understand why KC2 with single IDE drive work's bad and with two IDE 2,5 and 3,5" works fine :/ WHYYYYYYYYY??
I think, that all KC2 have this problem.

I have many USB-to-IDE/SATA devices and all of them has problem with IDE drives and with SATA works fine.
Only one device: EasyIDE works fine with ATA - but not to fast - but WORKS FINE.
Unfortunelly is broken

I thinking, then i bought KC2, that KC2 is Japan quality device but is another chinesse EXPENSIVE toy Sad

Sorry for my bad English.

Hello ryek,

sorry for my late response. So what about doing an exchange of your Molex-cable? I think, this could be the solution for your problems.

Cheers,
Stefan

Hello Galnospoke,

for me this sounds not like a problem regarding the KC2 but of your PC. When it was working some months ago, it will not refuse starting the drivers from on day to the other. I think you modified something in your system configuration, which now is blocking the drivers to start like installing other devices etc.

Cheers,
Stefan

Does "stop working" mean, that the HDD is not starting or that the HDD is not recognised by your PC? If it is not recognised, then this is surely a driver-related problem.
