kama 2 and 5,25" SATA DVDRW

Hello is it possible to connect a 5,25" SATA device (SATA DVDRW drive) to Kama Connect 2

If no, why not?

Hi,

Yes you can actually do that, as long it is a standard S-ATA device, but you might need to have the cable extensions to conenct it, because the connectors of Kama Connect 2 are basically for the HDDs but it will work if you can use the S-ATA extensions/adapter to connect both. I hope I explained detailled enough, if not I can come up with a drawing or picture to explain to you

thanx for reply, i got the idea, but still not 100percent sure - are the cables that come with Kama 2000 too short? i mean sufficient for the length of a SATA HDD but not for a SATA DVDRW?

Hi,

There are no cables needed to connect the S-ATA HDD to the Kama Connect 2. It is designed for a direct connection and if you have the right drive, you will also not need any cable. Please check the below.
